Navigating the position: Accounts Payable Clerk Are you ready to take your career to the next level? OTG is looking for not one, but two experienced Accounts Payable Clerks to join our dynamic team during an exciting period of growth and transformation. This role offers the chance to be at the heart of a rapidly evolving company, backed by one of the UK’s leading Private Equity groups.
As Accounts Payable Clerks, you will manage OTG’s supplier ledgers, ensure prompt and accurate invoice settlements, and maintain sub-ledger accounts. Youll play a key role in building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, processing payments efficiently, and resolving queries with professionalism and speed.
In this role, you will manage accounts payable workflows, respond promptly to inquiries, and prepare both regular and ad-hoc reports. Youll have the opportunity to develop and refine procedures that promote timely supplier payments, contributing to high levels of supplier satisfaction. Additionally, you’ll help consolidate and integrate AP activities across the group, establishing efficient and high-quality processes.

Your Voyage Ahead:

• Payment Processing: Ensure the timely and accurate processing of payments, establishing and maintaining dependable relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Ledger Management: Oversee the management of accounts payable sub-ledgers to ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date, facilitating seamless financial operations.
• Inbox and Workflow Management: Efficiently manage the AP email inboxes and workflows, ensuring prompt and professional responses to all queries.
• Query Resolution: Address and resolve any queries related to invoices, credit notes, and payments quickly and professionally, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Reporting: Prepare regular, periodic, and ad-hoc reports as required, providing clear and accurate insights in line with the policies governing the accounts payable process.
• Additional Duties: Perform additional tasks as necessary to support the successful operation of the company, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
• Process Consolidation and Integration: Consolidate and integrate existing group AP activities where feasible to establish high-quality, efficient processes that enhance overall performance.
• Policy Development: Develop and maintain procedures and policies that ensure timely payments for suppliers, promoting high levels of supplier satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Comprehensive Reporting: Consistently prepare and deliver regular, periodic, and ad-hoc reports as required, adhering to the policies governing the accounts payable process and contributing to informed decision-making.

Recommended to bring on board:

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years working in a similar role.
• AP Ledgers: Proficiency in managing multiple accounts payable ledgers.
• Currency and Tax Knowledge: Experience with multiple currency supplier invoices and a solid understanding of VAT/Tax regulations.
• Currency Payments: Proven ability to handle multiple currency payments efficiently.
• Excel Proficiency: Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel.
• ERP Systems: Knowledge of ERP systems, with experience in Netsuite being highly desirable.
• Independence: Demonstrated drive and ability to work independently.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Influence and Confidence: Confidence to influence individuals for approvals and manage suppliers payment requests effectively.
