THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Country Managing Director (CMD) who likes to think big! As the CMD, you will be responsible for overall performance and achievement of targets for the business. Your dynamic leadership style will steer and cultivate a grow culture of talented industry experts. You will be responsible for managing senior stakeholders, including the DSSI Board of Directors as you navigate through the challenging world of Philippine transportation.

With full P&L accountability, you will develop and execute the strategic plan in alignment with the DHL 2025 Strategy. In collaboration with your team and regional colleagues, you will explore innovative and sustainable solutions to deliver the best in class operational excellence. As a key contributor to the regional business planning process, you will have an opportunity to work with strong performing DHL Country Leaders to leverage strength , knowledge and capability. You will incorporate team focus to drive profitable and sustainable growth of the country, guiding the strategic agenda of Operations, Business Development, Solutions Design, Human Resource, Finance and IT.

In addition, as the CMD you will use your interpersonal and influencing skills to build strong relationships with key partners.

IN THIS JOB YOU WILL:

• Develop mid and long-term strategy for achieving a profitable and sustainable business growth
• Full P&L accountability and management
• Develop and strengthen customer relationship to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
• Lead regular performance reviews with the management team focusing on efficiency and profitability.
• Develop strategy to implement and monitor improvement programs in cost reduction, revenue growth, quality management, safety and best practices across sites.
• Drive culture of performance and results through your teams
• Manage multiple teams and support their professional development at all levels
• Support and drive performance by developing a strong network through DHLs functional departments
• Ensure sites are applying safety standards and driving continuous improvement and have adequate security measures in place.

YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in supply chain operations in a Third Party Logistics business set-up, an advantage
• 7+ years leadership experience, managing warehousing/transportation operations
• Proven success in driving revenue growth, retaining customers, and managing profitability of multiple sites.
• Result-oriented leader with strong background in managing multi-national clients .
• Creative, strategic, and innovative, with a solid ability to execute and deliver bottom-line results.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with a proven ability to work across multiple data sources to craft actionable recommendations that will meaningfully improve performance
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, ability to self-manage competing demand
• Energy and drive to build a diverse, high-performing team that loves working together
• Excellent written and communication skills
